Who is hunting
The current listing says five entities, names The Locust and The Hollow, and says you can be the monster. Version 1.5 calls the patch a massive Halloween update with a new entity and does not print the new name.
| Name | Where it is documented | October 16 PLAY AS price |
|---|---|---|
| The Hollow | Official listing; assigned in the October 16 upload | Not in that priced trio |
| The Locust | Official listing | $6,499 |
| The Rictus | Shop footage only | $4,899 |
| The Wendell | Shop footage only | $7,499 |
| Fifth entity | Counted in Version 1.5, unnamed | Unknown |
Those dollars are one-time unlocks from October 16 for player-entity rounds. They can change. A purchase did not force the game to pick you.
The vote
Recorded rounds choose a map and a controller: ENTITY: AI or ENTITY: PLAYER. An AI vote means a purchased monster is not your turn. A player vote means one person hunts.
In the October 16 upload the player became The Hollow, saw the exit sealed, ran out of stamina, and learned the hit by closing distance. The skill tree was visible and was not a mid-chase menu. The seal and the clock were on screen for the hunter too.
What the footage supports
- Let stamina return before the next sprint.
- Listen for footsteps and voice. The tutorial also says the entity sees light. Do not add a sense the listing does not state for one named monster.
- Check closets. A closed door has failed on camera.
- Survivors need a screwdriver for vents.
- They win by holding E at the exit after it opens. Standing in the farthest loot room gives them that door.
A player hunter searches like a person. Repeated trips through one hall are a pattern. Change rooms, crouch, and kill the light before you cross.
